The Canterbury Tales, and Other Poems is the magnum opus of Geoffrey Chaucer who is known as the father of English literature. Written as verse and prose, these stories are narrated as the story telling contest during a travel to Canterbury Cathedral by Pilgrims. Unlike other works by the author, The Canterbury Tales does not define any audience.
